Drilling costs can comprise up to 25% of the total budget of any given geothermal development. For the geothermal industry to improve its economic competitiveness it must drive these costs down. In addition, the future of rising geothermal technologies such as EGS, closed loop, and supercritical depends on advancing the state of the art of geothermal drilling. Join us in this panel discussion to discuss what we see as the biggest geothermal drilling challenges and possible techniques to increase drilling rates and decrease drilling costs.
Moderator: Jody Robins
Presenters: Matt Toews, Christian Gradl, Bill Moeny, John McLennan, Dr. Sam Noynaert
